Learn how to properly maintain your Diamond Shield PPF and keep your vehicle protected, glossy, and looking new for years.
PPF REQUIRED CARE
Wipe Regularly
Wiping bugs, road grime, and dust off your PPF with a wet, soft cloth is essential. You can use a spray protectant after wiping.
Wash Often
Give your PPF the deep clean it needs by washing with an automotive soap and soft wash mitt. Avoid bug & tar removers or soaps that contain harsh chemicals.
Wax Quarterly
Applying a wax on a quarterly basis (or more) will add an extra layer of protection. Use a liquid cream or spray wax which is recommended for use on PPF.
DO NOT:
Pressure Wash
High pressure nozzles should be avoided as they can damage PPF.
Use Harsh Chemicals
Solvents & other aggressive chemicals can cause hazing or even irreversible damage.
Apply Ceramic Coatings
Permanent or semi-permanent ceramic coatings, environmental coatings, or similar products will void the PPF warranty.
Use Abrasive Tools
Brushes, dirty rags or cloths, compounds or other abrasive tools can scratch or damage your PPF.
Wipe Against Edges
If you have a non-wrapped edge, clean with the edge, not against.
